That time I was so busy with work that I forgot to post in here. Whoopsies!

Disclaimer: I guess I forgot to post this entry way back in August. My bad.

Work has been ridiculously busy lately, so much that they have been buying us lunches so we take more efficient lunch breaks. I have found that there is rarely a happy medium in workload in a professional setting. But I tend to operate best under high stress and pressure settings, so I don't mind it.

Anyways, as Sunday was my one day off from a 13 hour work and workout day, I took full advantage of it. That afternoon i meandered over to SoWa. It was everything I hoped it would be. After over a mile of walking from where I started at the prudential center, I was relieved to see flocks of people heading towards a few parking lots. I started in the organic food section, carefully walking through the tents to plan for what to buy for that night's dish. After purusing through booths of fine art, a warehouse full of everything vintage, several galleries chock full of beautiful artwork, and topping it off with a studio tour that left me inspiration for crafting that night, I was ready to head back to the farm vendors. I'm actually really glad I went to SoWa by myself, as the crowds were often unruly and I don't know many people that like vintage, art galleries, and organic foods as equally as I do, and if I know them I know that they would never leave western mass. My conscious got the better of me, as earlier I had asked to try a snow pea from a vendor and stupidly left the booth as I wasn't interested in purchasing yet. But the snow pea was quite flavorful and I bought half a pound of those suckers along with a tomato, a bunch of carrots, and at least a pound of colored potatoes. All of this ended up costing $11, not too shabby!

I already had chicken broth from my last shopping trip, so it was a relief to not take a trip to stop&shop for once. I felt a bit guilty mixing a heavily processed broth in with the pure veggies I had just bought, so maybe next time I will make it from scratch. The mixed flavors of the vegetables with the help from Mr. salt and Mrs. pepper was out of this world! A flavor that can only be cultivated from fresh veggies. This was also the first time I didn't use a recipe, I just set out to cook a meal and succeeded beyond my expectations. Remember when that one time i said that cooking takes a bit of hope. Yeah.

Already looking forward to my next SoWa trip!!
